Your tour's distribution tab

After publishing your tour, the next step is making sure it reaches as many potential listeners as possible. A good distribution strategy helps ensure your tour is easily discoverable on the web, in app stores, and through reseller networks. The distribution tab gives you the tools you need to enhance visibility and attract more buyers. Each feature in this tab serves a specific purpose and you can read more about each of these in our documentation.

How do I access my tour's distribution tab?

Open the distribution tab in Mapmaker through your publisher dashboard. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll see all the tours you've created.

Each tour on the list includes:

  • Tour Name (click to view your tour page on VoiceMap)
  • Tour Status (new, published, in progress, dormant, or archived)
  • Current Price (what your tour's sold for on VoiceMap)
  • Average Rating (click to view the rating breakdown of your tour)

The second column has four action buttons:

  • Mapmaker – opens the tour in Mapmaker for editing
  • Distribution – opens the distribution tab (this is what we're focusing on here)
  • Sales – shows your tour sales data
  • Vouchers – manage voucher codes for your tour

What's in the distribution tab?

The distribution tab contains the following features:

Tour price

Set the price of your tour. Read more about pricing in our dedicated article.

Choose a featured location from your tour that potential listeners can preview before purchasing. This includes audio and images.

QR codes

Generate QR codes that link directly to your tour, which you can use in print materials, signage, or promotional content.

Google Things to Do

Connect your tour to Google Things to Do so it appears in Google's travel planning tools and search results.

Reseller networks

Opt in to sell your tour through VoiceMap's reseller networks, including platforms like Viator and GetYourGuide.

Temporary notices

Add temporary notices to your tour page for seasonal information, closures, or special events.

Voucher codes

Create and manage voucher codes for promotions, press, or bulk distribution.

Download credits

Manage download credits for free tours and promotional giveaways.
