Use voucher codes to get ratings and reviews

When you create a new tour, you'll receive 20 complimentary credits: 10 when you start the tour and 10 more once you publish. These credits are named "Feedback" credits on your dashboard. You can use these to test your tour and for promotional vouchers to help you get your first ratings and reviews.

You can create vouchers to share with your friends and family, who can try your tour for free and leave a positive rating and review. You can also share these vouchers with an existing audience if you have professional social media accounts, a mailing list, a podcast, or some other suitable distribution channel.

What are voucher codes and credits?

Voucher codes are 8-character alphanumeric codes (like 1SAMPLE2). When someone enters a voucher code, they can download your tour directly in the app. Voucher codes also come in the form of links, which can be used to redeem the tour on the web.

Each credit is valid for a single download of your tour. Every time someone uses a voucher code to download your tour, one credit is deducted from your balance.

Why ratings and reviews matter

Ratings and reviews are critical for your tour's success:

  • They build trust with potential buyers who are considering your tour
  • They improve your tour's visibility in search results and app listings
  • Tours with more positive reviews consistently convert more browsers into buyers
  • They provide social proof that your tour delivers a great experience

Tips for getting reviews

  • Make it easy — Send the voucher code along with clear instructions on how to redeem it and a direct link to leave a review
  • Time it right — Ask for a review shortly after someone has completed the tour, while the experience is fresh
  • Be specific — Ask reviewers to mention the tour name and location, as this helps with search engine visibility
  • Don't be shy — Most people are happy to help if you ask directly and make it easy for them
  • Follow up gently — A friendly reminder a week after sharing the voucher can significantly increase the response rate
